Brian J. Triplett is a Partner with Sinunu Bruni LLP and has experience in toxic tort (including asbestos and benzene), employment, business, and civil rights litigation. He regularly represents product manufacturers, including automotive gaskets and welding equipment, as well as subcontractors, general contractors, and suppliers. He has significant litigation and trial experience, including preparing cases for trial, taking depositions of both fact and expert witnesses, preparing and arguing pre-trial motions, and trial attendance. He also has extensive knowledge of asbestos medicine, and the peer-reviewed epidemiological and scientific literature discussing asbestos disease.
Mr. Triplett is a 2004 graduate of the Santa Clara University School of Law, earning a J.D. with a High Technology Law Certificate (Intellectual Property). Prior to joining Sinunu Bruni, Mr. Triplett was an Associate at a large New York-based insurance defense firm, where he represented clients including manufacturers and distributors of brakes, clutches, gaskets, motorcycles, automobiles, tractors, asbestos cement pipe, and raw fiber.
Mr. Triplett earned his B.S. in Biochemistry magna cum laude from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 1999. While attending Cal Poly, he was a participant in Stanford University’s Center on Polymer Interfaces and Macromolecular Assemblies Summer Undergraduate Research Experience.
He is licensed to practice law before all of the courts of the State of California, and is admitted to the bar of all California Districts of the United States District Court. Mr. Triplett is a member of the Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California and Nevada, the Defense Research Institute, and the American Chemical Society.
He has also served as a guest speaker and lecturer, most recently at HarrisMartin’s California Asbestos Litigation Conference, presenting on The Deposition Page Line Process - When and How Can Prior Depositions Properly Be Used in Trial.
Mr. Triplett was named a “Rising Star” by Northern California Super Lawyers Magazine each year from 2014 to 2017.
