Charles S. Bishop, Of Counsel
Charles (“Chuck”) Bishop has specialized in the defense of asbestos and silica litigation for the past 25 years, and has tried multiple cases to verdict in Northern California counties. His practice also includes the defense of medical device, pharmaceutical, respiratory protection device, and abrasive blasting equipment manufacturers, and the defense of entities in construction defect litigation.

Mr. Bishop is admitted to the bars of all California courts, the United States Supreme Court, the Ninth Circuit United States Court of Appeals, and the United States District Courts for the Northern (San Francisco) and Central (Los Angeles) Districts of California.
Professional Background
Prior to joining the firm “Of Counsel,” Mr. Bishop was for 24 years a founding partner in the San Francisco firm of Connor & Bishop (later Connor, Bishop & Stofferahn) providing legal representation and counsel to a variety of corporate and insurance industry entities in cases involving injuries alleged to have been caused by Class II medical devices, pharmaceuticals, laundry equipment, various types of respiratory equipment, marine flooring and decking materials, abrasive blasting media and equipment, shampoo and heat protective clothing, as well as economic damages alleged to have been caused by defective expansion joints and translucent lighting panels in construction defect litigation.
He has been an invited speaker before defense legal groups on the medical aspects of silica exposure, and was one of the lawyers instrumental in preventing silica litigation from gaining a significant toehold in California.
Education
Mr. Bishop obtained his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, and his B.S. from the University of Colorado.
