Jim Sinunu to Present at Environmental & Emerging Claim Manager Association 2012 Conference

 

Partner Jim Sinunu will present, “Retailers Beware: Avoiding Potential Hazardous Product Lawsuits” at the Environmental & Emerging Claim Manager Association (EECMA) Conference and Meeting being held May 2-4, 2012 in Captiva Island, FL.

 

Mr. Sinunu will examine a retailer’s liability and duty to warn consumers when selling products from manufacturers or distributors that may be hazardous but have insufficient labeling.  Retailers such as department stores, hardware stores, sporting goods stores and grocery stores face a variety of challenges to avoid being held responsible for such defective products.  Mr. Sinunu will discuss strategies for retailers to minimize exposure to retailers, and will provide an examination of issues from recent asbestos and other toxic tort cases.
